Guraidhoo

Located in the Kaafu Atoll south of Male K.Guraidhoo with a population of approx. 1800 inhabitants, it is 28 km away from Male airport, has a bikini beach and several sand banks where you can enjoy the authentic Maldives.

Our island has several hotels and restaurants where you can enjoy traditional Maldivian dishes and international cuisine, also ideal to relax watching the spectacular sunset accompanied by a fruit smoothie.

The warmth of the people make Guraidhoo an island unlike any other in the area. The ambient temperature is 28/30 degrees all year round and the water temperature is 28/29 degrees.

There is also a small hospital and pharmacy, two mosques, a football field and an old cemetery. For souvenir lovers there are several shops offering everything from the typical "Feyli", pictures and paintings by local artists to silver jewellery.

After dive excursions can be booked at the island's excursion centres.

Our recommendations for your visit to Guraidhoo:

• It is not allowed to walk around the island with bikini and the man with only underwear, respect the people of Guraidhoo by respecting this rule, although women do not need to be covered, they can walk around in shorts or short skirts and braces,
• Never quit the bikini top.
• Interacting with the locals is another way to get to know their culture.
• Friday is a public holiday for Maldivians, so shops and restaurants are closed until about 14:00pm.
• Don't miss the spectacular sunsets.
